Groups

Museum docents are available to guide organized groups through the Frank L. Melega Art Museum exhibitions. Generally, a tour of the permanent collection and changing exhibitions is offered to adult groups. Other approaches can be discussed with the Curator. (See the exhibition schedule for current offerings.)

Tours can be scheduled any day of the week at any time. Most tours last forty-five minutes to one hour. Appointments for tours must be made at least three weeks in advance. Up to twelve people can be accommodated at one time, however, larger groups can be subdivided. Guided tours are free of charge for nonprofit organizations; a donation to the museum of $25 per group is suggested for others. The museum’s first floor location is connected to the Heritage Center, a fascinating display of the regions historical photographs, artifacts, and other items of interest.

To schedule a tour, or for more information about the tour program, call 724-785-9331. If anyone in the group has special needs, the group leader should indicate this at the time of the tour reservation.
